The Mauswit Solicitor Offices had gained a lot of life in the past few hours, a large surprise to locals whose main 'inside joke' was "if you need legal matters done, you'd be better off writing it yourself rather then hiring Mauswit". The Offices, do however, have other uses - the small matter of the MoD Media Monitoring Centre takes up 3 or the 5 stories of the building. On this particular day, there was a small crowd around the area (specially dedicated!) to monitoring Great Scourge media. Phone calls were being made. Prime Minister Edward Hertz was called out of his meeting with the City Minister of New Haven, and provided with a video player - showing, was a copy of a speech made seconds ago) by a Scourgii(?) official by the name of Simin. A frown spread across his face, and once it had finished he whispered into his assistants' ear. A few minutes later Hertz, along with an official from the Media Monitoring Centre (video call), the minister of Defence, and the minister for Economics (also on video call) met to discuss the matter. "What of the missiles?" Was Hertz first question. "Information tells us they're inoperational, likely duds" was the Defence minister's (Grahem's) reply "I would guess it is a sign of strength, a 'warning shot', or more likely both. It seems our matters in the west have been acted on." Hertz sighed. "What options do we have?" "Our military strength is high, we could defend ourselves if attacked by the Scourgii" replied Grahem "However, if other Grand Coalition member states join in, we will have problems". "The Embargo" said the Economics minister "will do some damage. There is a large income from businesses and companies operating in Great Scourge. We could see some food prices rise, though staple foods should not be affected, however, again this could change if other nations join in. No matter what happens though" she added "Our economy will suffer, and is already showing signs of stress from military movements. People and businesses are going to move, or close if it looks like we're going to have financial or military problems". There was a pause whilst Hertz thought about the matter. After a while, he said: "Very well. We need to inform the Scourg(where's that handy table gone?) government that we will take their demands into consideration. Apart from that we will not engage them in any communications. Additionally, get a Public Announcement out informing citizens that matters are under control and will be resolved soon. We also need to increase police presence in major cities, especially in the captal, the main ports, and in the western cities. We need to suppress any riots that may happen. I'd like raids to be carried out on any citizens of Great Scourge currently living in this country that we've had tabs on for the past 3 months, and, as they have, seize any of their assets. That is all for now." A call is made the government of Great Scourge. A voice without accent is on The Cloud Peoples end: "This is an official Republic of The Cloud Peoples call on behalf of Prime Minister Edward Hertz. Your demands for a referendum in the western provinces of the Cloud Peoples is being discussed. Do not attempt to make any moves within or in to our international land or sea borders, or into our international air space. Any such act will be treated as an act of aggression to The Cloud Peoples. All official communications from The Cloud Peoples to Great Scourge will cease following this call, until communication is required. If you have any questions, voice them now." I got a bit carried away there..hehe |

"Our military is currently situated in only those places it is occupying or in Great Scourge. For that which matters to you, that means Wakriinja and Yusukistan. We do not have 100 fleets so therefore that was not a tenth of our navy, but much more. We move it to blockade in case your nation decides to bring its own fleet to attack the Scourgian colonies. It is not your border as you only control half of the island - it is well outside your EEZ. I am here because I am the ambassador to here. Please brush up on your trade, because the rest of what you said made absolutely no sense. So, I ask again: may I see the Grand Plasma Seer, or shall I report to my superiors of your total lack of hospitality?" |

"You may see the Grand Plasma Seer but right now she's not to happy. Mainly due to the fact of Scourge's actions." The Ambassadors are led to the meeting room. "Hello, you know we aren't happy with your nations right now. Now before you ask us something tell us in more detail why your nation is embargoing Cloud Peoples?" She was speaking to both Ambassadors. |

The Anksharian delegate makes a soft laugh. "So, you haven't heard Mrs. Simin of Great Scourge's speech? My, it's all over Ankshara." She takes her phone out of her pocket, and taps a few times. "Do you want to hear it? The speech provides a perfect reason to why we have embargoed The Cloud Peoples." |

"I could tell you more than what Sir Simin said, but then I'd be compromising national security. Rest assured, an embargo is the most lenient reaction to things like this my nation has done in a while. We could've declared war instead of a full embargo. Tell me, which would you prefer us to have done?" |

"I'm fine with an embargo but sending military forces into another nation's territory was going way to far. I know about the speech I heard it already. If you want to have Cloud Peoples to be more open I would suggest we have a meeting between Great Scourge, Cloud Peoples, and anyone who wants to show up we could see what can be done. I can understand your government doesn't want to do the meeting and there is no a chance Cloud Peoples would accept either. So what do you think my solution to everyone's problem might be at least be plausible?" |

"We know we don't control the whole Ilse. But you're nation has placed that fleet close enough to our territory we are feeling threaten. Yule come in here." Yule comes in. "Contact the Scourgian Government that I want a meeting with them so we can calm the situation down so we don't spark a war. As for you Ambassador I would like you to stay here." Yule heads to the message room. He sends a message to the Scourgian Government for a request to a meeting. OOC:Need to make clear that I don't always get everything through my first read. |

"Okay, well I held the meeting due to the fact we were divided to say no or yes to Cloud Peoples offer. We would of stayed neutral and continued our trade at normal pace. We ultimately choose yes due me and majority of the council members were anyways wanting to be on good terms with them. Is that any closure to why you two came asking for me?" |
