After much badgering from her advisors, Empress Tanjansa Nïkhovhen of Velkand finally caves and reaches out to the remaining royal houses of Universalis Prime for a husband. Empress Tanjansa only has a few concerns that the suitor's house must be willing to meet: that the marriage is Matrilineal, that the Dominon of Velkand cannot be passed through inheritance to the suitors royal house, and that they will not gain an alliance unless independent rulers of the country. |

Crusadia's first prince, Edmund has been sent to Velkand along with Warsama's second prince, Hui. They arrive in their ceremonial uniforms. Edmund's being a white and gold uniform under shiny armour and a Rapier. Hui's being a black and blue robe with a katana. (I can't think up any other Asian sword at the moment.) |

[Hey! Smallswords/rapiers were a common part of English court uniform until the 20th (or was it 19th?) centuries... and look pretty damn fashionable if they're ornate, if I do say so myself!] Duke Matthias d'Anhath of Heiktan arrives, dressed in a rather fashionable alternate Scourgian robe. He technically has pants, but the upper part is covered by a parted robe, sort of like on Soviet and certain Russian military uniform. The back is utterly covered by a tail. His pants are red with ornate gold (but not actually gold - that's illegal) decoration, his suit is black with red and gold decoration, and he wears a monocle of highly polished copper, of the sort Reginald von Hompkoft wore. His hair is blond and worn in the traditional fashion of Scourgian men, long and in more unruly areas braided. He has but one demand: that his original dynasty continue being the ruling dynasty of Heiktan, and that the second child (or third if the first dies before they can ascend, etc.) born of a potential marriage become ruler of Heiktan after his death. |

The Kablach-ran palace is made of the same dark stone most buildings in Velkand are made of, and it isn't too large for an imperial palace. The builders spared no detail, creating a beautiful structure for the stone, while stained glass windows were carefully and sparingly placed. It was built like a citadel if one was to examine the building plans, but that is for another time. An Emissary's Guard approaches the foreigners, and asks,"State your business at the Kablach-ran Palace." |

If one didn't know better, they could hear the guard snicker. They are led to Tanjansa, who is at a tree in a courtyard, many banners of fine silk bristle in the branches. She doesn't notice they are there, and the guard leaves them. |

Hugo glares at the Duke, and then slowly approaches the tree where Tanjansa is. He bows. "Hello, your Majesty, I am Archchancellor Hugo. I have come with my partners to suit you." He gestures towards the others with his left hand. "Were you expecting us?" |
