City of Zamfara, People's Republic of Gobira 10:16 local time "Lieutenant." "Sir." The two men shared a brief, crisp salute. "How many dead?" "Two hundred and thirty nine, sir." "Wounded?" "Over four hundred. We've distributed them to local hospitals, in their isolation wards, sir." "Good. If they survive their wounds, let's have them transferred to the camps." "I'll notify the Ministry of State Security, sir." "Any other witnesses?" "Many, sir. This is a busy square, sir, with plenty of tenements overlooking it. Anyone who heard the gunfire would have come and taken a look." "Very well. See to it that the Ministry of State Security also tries to detain as many of these witnesses as possible." "Yes sir." "And lieutenant? Any cameras?" "Not that we've found, sir." "Carry on then." "Yes sir." This was the third ration riot this year. Thankfully, the other two hadn't ended in such bloodshed, but they still were giving General Azumi a damn headache. He wasn't worried about Zamfara's populace, nor the general populace of Gobira. Those could easily be suppressed. The foreigners couldn't. Hopefully there hadn't been any cameras. Evening broadcast, the People's Times 15:00 local time "...A horrible tragedy has shaken the city of Zamfara today, when what the Ministry of State Security described as 'terrorists' stormed a busy city market, sealing off all the exits, and gunned down over two hundred with automatic weaponry, wounding an additional four hundred. The Ministry of State Security says it has found the culprits responsible for this terrible bloodshed and will be publicly executing them in Zamfara sometime next week. Our hearts go out to the people of Zamfara and their families..." |

"I'm afraid the Gobrians were directed about thirty miles on the Transdavisian coast to a military building. They are being kept secure and questioned. Ah, here comes the customs." A few men come in. One has a body scanner, and another has a stamp. The one with the stamp speaks. "Please present your passport." |

"Negotiators, as we are here to be. I assume we must show our passports for customs?" |

Nothing suspicious is found on Tanjansa, though the guards were pretty well armed and armored, so there's that. They present their passports, which were genuine, to the stampsperson. |

The guards are asked to hand over their weapons, and Tanjansa is informed that another set of guards will escort her, although her original guards may also escort her. The Velkandi are lead into the room that the Scourgii are in. |

They follow, though the guards are unnerved by having their weapons taken from them. |

"You should go through normal border customs in Ankshara, which require the confistication of weapons and then the giving back of them if the holder is proven trustworthy." |

Simin fingers something in a pocket for a moment, then puts whatever it was back. "Say... is there any recording devices in here?" |

A man walks into the room where the Gobrians are contained. He has a grim face. "Are you aware that you violently murdered and injured over six hundred thirty nine civilians who were protesting for rights of their own?" |
