Brought to you by SEK in affiliation DuxNac Inc., the Hateful Collective1, and the Old University of Academia2. Studio rented to SEK by the Terra Troup, Yusukistan's foremost real estate renter for large buildings capable of containing a big audience.

"Welcome, comrades! Welcome!" exclaims Sir Priscus, smiling cornily like this is some kind of gameshow. "Aha, yes... welcome to the first ever televised superdebate in Yusukistan's history!" he shouts. "The candidates will come here soon, but first a rundown of how the debate will work.
There are three groups of podiums, which can clearly be gauged by looking at the stage. The largest group has four podiums, and will be used for the National Healthcare Party. On their podiums you can see the emblems of their party in a circle. In fact, the same goes for all the parties. The group with three podiums is the Freedom Party. And the one with two podiums is for the Spiritual Party.
There are ten desks around me - six will have Scourgian presenters, four will have Yusukistanian presenters. I'm here to make sure everyone is civil.
From Scourge, we have a partisan arrangement. From the Scourgian Communist Party, we have Martine Ludwig, the most prolific political pamphlet passer-outer in the entire nation. From the Scourgian Party for Liberal Democratic Socialism, we have Arnórr Savona, former Minister for Public Relations of the party. Representing the Scourgian Pacifist Party is Doris Denis 'the Skull-Beater' Lebeau, member of an all-female biker gang and Hero of the Children for 2019. The Party for Scourgian Conservatism brings to us Mafalda van Dael, their current Minister for Public Relations, while their ally the Libertarian Party is represented by Aikaterine Aiello, the party's top advisor for 'Anything and Everything'. And, last but not least, is Tino 'Tiny Mary' Gotti, from the Religious Union."
The Scourgian presenters wave to the cameras and crowd.
"As for the Yusukites, we have from the Spiritual Party the Friar Melfeus Delanien, the Freedomist Draco Draco, a member of Aquinolem Lives Matter, Bilsack Pusack, and a member of the National Healthcare Party, Sophocles Macedon. Now, I must ask them for one or two of their greatest achievements or important jobs as I am sadly quite unaware, what with my lack of connections to Yusukistan."
He first gives the microphone to Fr. Melfeus Delanien.

The men sit down chairs and open the black container. They pull out a few papers, and begin reading them.

Draco speaks into his microphone. "Question for Ms. Minervea: As the only woman running in a nine-person race, do you feel intimidated at all?" Minervea, seeming a tad upset, responds. "Why, Mr. Draco, would I be intimidated? Are you implying that, as a woman, I am not as strong as my competitors? Are you implying that voters find women undesirable candidates? Need I remind thee, Mr. Draco, that I am leading Spiritual Party polls by 30 points? No, I do not feel intimidated."

'Tiny Mary' speaks up.
"Mr. Rex, are you aware that the Catholic church does not typically allow for multiple wives to be had?"
"RIGHT! That's not a particularly political question," says Sir Priscus.

"I refuse to answer that question." Rex responds. One of his Freedomist rivals, General Goldsteinberg, speaks up. "Can thou ask some relevant questions?"

"Fiiine. Ahem, as for those of you wishing for Great Scourge to end the occupation, what do you think of the current plan?"
Sir Priscus turns to the audience and camera and speaks.
"For those of you unaware, the current plan is to slowly phase out the occupation over 20 years and then withdraw from Yusukistan, while offering military protection but without any Scourgian troops on Yusukistan's soil. Any particular crisis in Yusukistan could result in a temporary halt in this plan and maybe for a short time a buildup of military forces, which will then leave to fit the schedule."

Krevlaz starts off. "I honestly an fine with the plan, however, I still think that the occupation needs to be removed at a faster rate. I believe in a 15-year plan." "The occupation should be removed as fast as possible!" Rex shouts. "It is an insult to Yusukistanian sovereignity!" "The occupation is not 'an insult' to our sovereignity." Tupik says. "I want them gone because they are savage and evil. I go out everyday worrying some Scourgian soldiers will find a steercrap reason to break down my door. I fear com ing home to see my home destroyed, my daughters brutally murdered, and my wife tied to our bed, weeping after being violated. That is why I want the occupation gone. Not because they threaten our independence, but because they are degenerate lunatics!"

Savona jolts up.
"Reports of rape, eh? Well, mark my words, it won't last long..."
They begin laughing maniacally and it almost looks like there's a guillotine in their eyes.
"Stop it..." sighs Priscus, at this point not sure what his countrymen had for dinner's alcohol.

"You people are not helping the stereotypes..." Bilsack mutters. He then turns back to the stage. "General Goldsteinberg, you are the Freedomist candidate who resonates most with our movement. How will you prevent police brutality as PM?" The General responds bluntly. "We are going to prosecute murderers, whether they are officers or not." "General," Thesulos says. "Do you not think that some of these incidents may be accidents?" "I hardly think putting a bolt between someone's eyes is accidental, Councilman Thesulos."

"Whether or not it was accidental is irrelevant." Deabarus says, in a loud, passionate tone. "If an average man accidentally knocked someone off a ledge to their death, they would face jail time. It is called manslaughter. Whether it is murder or manslaughter, I want officers like the one who killed Edgar Turgenzky to be punished!" A lot of Yusukites in the crowd cheer and clap for about 10 seconds. Asparg is even noticed clapping.

Asparg starts. "I am going to break up large companies and lower taxes to the working class. I am going to kick start our economy by replacing our current matthewan with gold coins. The matthewan is worth nothing because it is a stone." "I think a gold standard is too expensive. We need to expand our industrial sector. We will create jobs and wealth for Yusukistan." Thesulos says. "Besides, where will all this gold come from?" "I will tell you." Deabarus states. "I will institute a gold standard. That gold will come from the pockets of the Church. Currently, the Archsee of the Citta Basilica and the sees under it pay nothing in property taxes. That is outrageous. I think it is time we teach the Church that they are done sucking the blood of Yusukistan!" "I agree with Councilman Deabarus," Krevlaz says. "however, we must also cut off the utilities that are provided to clerical property by the Ministry of Infrastructure." Rex speaks up. "I will liberate the economy from the shackles of socialism. A free market will bring our economy back to stability." "I personally plan on selling all the state-owned industry off to the private sector. The profits will be put into the treasury." Tupik states. "Well," Goldsteinberg says. "We should only sell some of the state-owned industry to private interests. I agree on a free market, but we do not want it to be regulated by greedy billionaires instead of the government." Minervea smiles as she starts. "I am going to expand industry and bring us to a gold standard. We also have a potentially very profitable option the other candidates have failed to notice: Ankshara. I am sure our neighbors to the north are more than willing to strike up a trading operation." Brother Mareneo clears his throat. "Yusukistan needs industry, yes, but we also have excellent space for agriculture. According to calculations: if we replace current agriculture operations in the Twin Colonies with incense plantations: we may have the potential to become the world's top producer of incense."

"I have, indeed, considered the option." Asparg confirms, looking down like always. "In fact, I am aware that DuxNac is getting ready to shut down one of their printing plants next month, and I have confirmed with DuxNac's VP of Printing Operations that the equipment will be sold along with the property. I also have connections with a chemical lab in Franciscus that is willing to develop a cheap, durable paper-like fabric for use in currency."

"Curisters, could you please explain, in depth, your plans to modernize Yusukistan?" asks Arnórr Savona.

Asparg starts. "Under Councilman Thesulos, we have developed electricity through the use of the Quisidomum (the term used in Yusukistan to refer to the plants where garbage is burned to produce electricity). This source of energy will not last long enough to modernize Yusukistan. I, instead, have a plan to use solar and wind power to fuel our Industrial Revoultion. We will begin work on producing modern building materials such as concrete and steel, in order to save space in our overcrowded cities by having taller buildings. Once we have these things set up, we will begin work on communication and information technologies."
Deabarus is next. "I do not seek anything drastic. I have a 15-year plan for modernization. It begins with the gradual replacement of the garbage-power system with an electrical grid powered by clean sources such as hydropower and wind power. At the same time I will initiate public works projects that will both repair our archaic infrastructure. These projects will include: modern roads, hydroelectric dams, windmill farms, a sewage system, and a transnational railway. With any luck, I can negotiate to build part of this railway to connect Yusukistan proper and the Western Exclaves. This plan is gradual. People will have time to adjust to living in modern times. Our great country deserves to be modernized without a giant fiasco over a few months. Our people deserve better. Yusukistan deserves better."
Thesulos lays out his plan. "We are going to bring electricity to every household in Yusukistan, even to the Twin Colonies and the Western Exclaves. I am going to enlist hundreds of strong working people to build a coal-powered railway connecting all corners of Yusukistan. We are going to knock down our old buildings and replace them with modern structures. Sure, it sounds expensive, but we shall have the matthewans. I will get the matthewans. I promise thee that!"
Krevlaz begins. "We will do what the Kleker Tribe did. We will use geothermal energy to create an effective and reliable electric grid. We can keep our old buildings and put up modern structures in other places. When our old buildigns become decrepit and derelict, then we can tear them down and put up new, modern buildings. After that, we will bring in foreign communications companies to provde us with telephone lines and Internet access."
